The service was amazing Luis was awesome. No to mention the ambiance was great! Beautiful photo opportunities! The mariachi and gift to the birthday person was great. I totally recommend!

The food was delicious. The atmosphere was also good, when we were here on Sunday. There was a mariachi band playing, the music was great and we loved the decorations. Esther was our waitress and she was awesome, she was very attentive and kept checking up on us.

Celebrated an 18th bday here on a Sunday afternoon and the food and service was phenomenal! Everyone ordered something different and everyone enjoyed their selection. Mario, our waiter,, was attentive and friendly. The manager/owner, Lucy, came to our table and she too was very friendly. I can't wait to return.

I celebrated my daughters birthday at Hacienda Calavera and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful..from the entrance to the interior, every detail creates a very cool and vibrant atmosphere. We went on a Saturday night with a DJ, which made the ambiance even better and perfect for a celebration. The food was incredible, and the skull dessert was a standout! both delicious and fun. This is truly a perfect place to celebrate any occasion, whether it’s a birthday or just a night out. I would definitely recommend it to everyone. The only small suggestion would be to make the salsa a bit spicier 🌶️but other than that, everything was fantastic!

Had such a great time at Hacienda Calavera! The food was delicious and everything came out fresh and flavorful. Valeria, our waitress, was amazing—so sweet, attentive, and genuinely sociable, which made the whole experience even better. The the decor is soooo creative, the music is upbeat and fun, and somehow it still feels calm and welcoming at the same time. Highly recommend this place!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ La Calavera in Cicero, IL absolutely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was vibrant, welcoming, and full of character. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable and ready to enjoy a great meal. The food was outstanding. My wife had the pasta with shrimp, and it was cooked perfectly — flavorful, fresh, and generously portioned. I ordered the tampiqueña with a mole enchilada, and wow… it was SO good. The steak was tender and seasoned just right, and the mole had that rich, authentic depth of flavor that you don’t find everywhere. Every bite was on point. We LOVED the Cantarito drinks. They were refreshing, perfectly balanced, and packed with flavor — easily some of the best we’ve had. They complemented the meal perfectly and definitely added to the whole experience. And we have to give a special shoutout to our waiter, Alfonso. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect without being overbearing. Great service truly elevates the whole experience, and he did exactly that. If you’re in Cicero and looking for amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere, La Calavera is a must. We’ll definitely be back.

Our server was Diego and he was fantastic! Was very attentive and made my birthday feel truly special! This place has such a fun, beautiful atmosphere with great music playing. Even all the customers were such a vibe celebrating birthdays with friends and family, sending best wishes. I had the octopus dinner and it was a delicious! Just very happy with everything and highly recommend!

First visit to Hacienda Calavera: Overall a fantastic experience! Must try! Rating scale is up to 5 stars: Food: 5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 5 Price: Very Reasonable Noise Level: Loud / Nightclub Vibes What we ate: -Steak Empanadas - really good. Nice creamy sauce inside and great mildly spicy dipping sauce on the side. -Carne Asada- seasoned well and tender. Salsa verde was the best I ever had. -Lobster Tail - delicious! A mildly spicy butter sauce on top. Yum! What we drank: -water (they offer only bottle still or sparkling - no tap apparently) -lemonade - very good. Not too sweet. Decor: so adorable and pretty. Each table had a single tall candle for nice ambiance. Seems like the place to be on weekends. Server: Eduardo - very helpful and attentive. Negatives: music was a bit too loud (I’m old) and utensils were cheap.

10/10 Experience! Amazing food and vibes. I visited on a Thursday night and had such a blast! The live music really set the mood and made the whole night fun. The drinks are a total "presentation experience"—they look incredible and taste even better. As for the food, come hungry! The portions were huge, which I didn't expect, but the quality was still top-notch. The food was so flavorful and juicy, and the octopus was perfectly tender. I highly recommend this spot if you want great vibes and even better

For my birthday dinner my friend and I went here. The food was great, the drinks were great, the vibes were definitely there, and the service was awesome. We went on a Tuesday night so it wasn’t busy at all. I ordered the Pulpo ala Parrilla which was SOOO GOOOD! Grilled octopus (added shrimp), mashed potatoes, and a little salad with avocado on top. Ordered a side of asparagus. My friend ordered Chicken Alfredo which she really liked. Also, ordered a side of asparagus. We also ordered double margaritas hers was Passionfruit and mine was Strawberry/Mango and steak empanadas that we shared. The bill was about $218. Definitely planning on going back! *** Side note: they do not offer complimentary birthday desserts or shots you do have to pay for those.
